At Diversified Strategies, keeping with character of our new look, "you will know the tree by its fruit." In our case, we build the DS tree using our TRE5 Approach. As a financial services company with a focus on supporting small businesses, we came up with a framework as a guide for how we would lead our business, centering on enduring ideas of growth and partnership. That framework became our TRE5 Approach, and has transformed the way DS operates, from deepening client relations, to meeting the needs of our community, to helping many businesses and individuals gain the confidence and knowledge to dream bigger dreams with their finances. The TRE5 Approach invites you to "follow the fruit and trust in the tree" because your business deserves more than just financial services—it deserves a partner invested in your success.
What Does TRE5 Stand For?
Our TREEEEE Approach (TRE5) centers around our five core values as a company, the five Es that represent our focus and our purpose in everything we do: Engage, Embrace, Educate, Empower, and Elevate. Along with the rest of the acronym, we get our mission statement:
"Together Rising we Engage, Embrace, Educate, Empower, and Elevate one another, Growing, Guiding, Thriving Together."
We Engage with you proactively to assess your needs and whether we are the right fit to assist. We engage to address an error or acknowledge a mistake. We are clear about our fees, processes, and expectations. We Embrace you to truly understand your business, needs, goals, and dreams. We Educate you to understand where you are financially and propose strategies to help you manage your business, navigate taxes, and identify any blind spots. We Empower you to make informed decisions, so that you can Elevate your business to the next level, whatever that might mean for you. With DS, we're not just giving you numbers and data to manage—we aim to be valued collaborators working to build a brighter, more prosperous future. The first E in our TRE5 logo is Engage, the premier of the five critical tenets that make up the foundation of Diversified Strategies.
What Does It Mean To Engage?
The goal of Engage is to be proactive in satisfying our clients’ desires, answering their questions, addressing their concerns, and overall making sure they have an excellent experience with the company from the moment they choose to come to us.
It requires us to be prepared to serve, guide, and support our clients enthusiastically from the moment they reach out to us.

Why Should We Engage?
While 'Engage' is mainly focused outwardly on how we can provide the best service for our clients in every interaction, it also speaks to how we work together internally to make sure we provide the best service to our clients, speaking with one voice.
Engaging transforms our work from just doing taxes, providing consultations, bookkeeping, etc., to being a company centered around having integrity, taking initiative, and pursuing thoroughness, in an environment that is welcoming and discerning.
The way we Engage should let out customers know that we're thinking about them. We go beneath the surface, examine what they tell us, and ensure truthful and authentic communication. We are forthright about mistakes, understand our line of business, and generate a sense of confidence and trust.
2. Embrace
Embrace is the second E in our TRE5 logo, and it represents the heart behind how we go about serving our clients and working with one another.
What’s in the DS Embrace?
The goal of Embrace is to demonstrate the confidence in knowing that we don’t just do their taxes and accounting, but we embrace our clients to understand their needs, dreams, and challenges. We walk with them to navigate their business and finances. They should see that we love what we do and the people we work with, and that no matter where they are on their journey, they feel the love of our DS Embrace and that we’re always striving for their success.

Why Educate?
Its important to not just fix the clients issues, but to take time to help them understand where they are, what their options are, and to assist them in moving forward in a direction that works best for them. When they learn how to see the big picture, they are able to be more effective in making wise decisions for themselves that will benefit their businesses.
And in turn, the more we engage and embrace, the broader and deeper our scope of knowledge and experience with various types of businesses continue to expand. Simply put, we Educate our clients, they Educate us, and we all learn, grow, and Rise Together!
